Learn how to modify your grading practices by using simplified rubrics and standards-based grading to support students as they progressively work toward mastering targeted CCSS. You will practice identifying an essential standard and create a Google Doc rubric to use in your own classroom.

Interactive reader’s notebooks are are an excellent--and trending--tool to help students record reading experiences and meet CCSS reading standards. Prepare to retire your paper composition books by learning how to create a digital reader’s notebook using Google Sites, Goodreads, and other tools.

Learn how to use Google Drive to simultaneously support writers at varying levels of proficiency through the writing process. You will leave this session with a folder of resources to assist your students through the writing process, including a graphic organizer and outlines with sentence starters. The session is designed for upper elementary through high school classrooms. Bring your Chromebook/laptop.
