Natalie, this is good. I hope that your district allows the use of your school Gmail accounts, but if not, personal accounts work, too. If not including your students, still having the model of your adults collaborating is good, as you mentioned. You're doing a great job, and I'm impressed with how you have diplomatically implemented a "grass roots" approach to this effort. Your students are lucky to have you there trying to create a better learning environment for them, so they can see how their school can be more of a genuine microcosm of society, where there aren't all these red-flags to address when trying to do GOOD work. Looking forward to week 5's update.

It didn't occur to me that we may not have access to Google+. Have you tried it with your students? I'm wondering if my students will have access....that would put a huge dent in my plans. That's great that you have a positive response from your team mates, though. You need more people on board to push your ideas through. Keep going!

What a bummer about the google plus community! Our gmail accounts at my school also do not allow google+ or youtube to be associated with our school email address. What are your plans for collecting personal e-mail addresses if this issue is not worked out? I look forward to hearing how it all unravels!
