I began officially studying to become a teacher in third grade when I decided that I could do a better job than my teacher, who was cold, fond of math dittos, and did not help the boy who sat next to me. In the years since, I have observed and analyzed many teachers, students, and learning environments--from traditional classrooms to summer camp to online courses. And, I have learned the two major responsibilities of good teachers:

Thank you for your thoughtful submission. I like the two responsibilities you delineated. Now I want you to go deeper into some paramenters about "what is best" means and "need help " to what end. You might focus on the purpose of education,how it relates to kids lives now and the future interms of living in the 21st century. You have given me some of the trees but what ius the forrest? Your first paragraph is great but I think you are going to find it belongs in a future section you will write. Make this all about the value, purpose, experiences and outcomes that define what you mean by 'what is best for children" Make sense?
